Unified Power is a Leading National Independent Service Provider in the Critical Power Industry.

Our week-long training programs are held Exclusively for Unified Power Technicians.

These programs are OEM equivalent and considered “Factory Level” with 50% of instruction taking place in the classroom and 50% dedicated to applied time built into training courses.

Unified Power Technicians are trained on numerous other brands of UPS equipment including manufacturers that are no longer active in the industry.

This ensures technicians are always prepared to service any type of critical power equipment, no matter the age or product line.

In addition to holding Unified Power Training Courses on a monthly basis, our technicians regularly attend factory training with the Original Equipment Manufacturers to ensure comprehensive critical power training on all lines of UPS equipment.

Unified Power updates and enhances training for our Field Engineers with online training courses on a regular basis.

Service Technicians commit to an annual regiment of comprehensive classes which include daily progress assessments and an all-inclusive final examination.

Each technician receives a certificate of completion upon passing the final exam.

Although not required; a bachelors/associate degree or military equivalent is preferred.

All technicians must pass a background check and drug screen upon employment.

About the Instructor:

Charles Barnett worked for Purdue University’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering for 27 years as a Computer Lab Engineer.

He taught Electronics at IVY Tech Community College in Indiana for ten years.

Before he embarked on a career with Unified Power, his focus was assisting seniors with capstone design projects which included teaching the design process & review, parts selection, circuit design, printed circuit board design, fabrication, assembly and testing to mechanical packaging.

He has written multiple tutorials on instrumentation, circuit board layout & design and programming.

Along with strong background in the educational field, Charles has also designed and constructed instrumentation for agricultural research as well as designing electronic controls for multiple products, serving as a maintenance engineer for a fabricating company.
